Mysteries of Peru – Machu Picchu (May 23 -June 5 2012)
Journey deep into Peru, its culture, its people and yourself.
You could be one of a very small, intimate group of people to join me for 14 days on an Inner and Outer Journey of a Lifetime, exploring Peru and the lesser traveled Lares trail to Machu Picchu.
Our Journey begins in Cusco. Once the center of the Incan Empire, Cusco is now considered by many mystics and religious figures to be a major point of spiritual energy and the epicenter for predicted events of 2012.
After exploring the city and taking time to acclimatize, we travel overland to a remote mountain village inhabited by the Q’ero people. Believed to be the last descendants of the Inca, the Q’ero have long lived in isolation, effectively maintaining many of their rituals and way of life.
Recently, access to water has become an issue in these communities. Upon our arrival to the village, we will be welcomed by the local Shaman and treated to a traditional Andean Ritual; asking permission from Pacha Mama (Mother Earth) to start construction of our water project.
4 Days later we will say goodbye to our new friends and head down the mountain, to the Sacred Valley for some well earned rest and relaxation. There we will visit ancient Inca sites, the artists village of Ollantaytambo, taste the local strawberry corn beer and take time to slow down, go inside and prepare for our trek to Machu Picchu.
Far from the over crowed routes of the Inca Trail, the “Lares” route takes us through traditi
onal communities, lush valleys, high mountain lakes and the Lares hot springs!
Our journey culminates at our final destination – Machu Picchu. Shrouded in mystery for thousands of years… Machu Picchu is considered one of the top “must experience” wonders of the world. After a full day of exploring, we will catch the evening train back to Cusco for our celebration dinner.
This an all inclusive, full service adventure, providing the rare opportunity to deeply connect with the indigenous people of Peru, make a difference while you are there, experience the sacredness of the land and delve into the true essence of who you are.

Upcoming Adventures
A transcendent Walk Across Spain: El Camino de Santiago
(Sept 9-18)
An intimate exploration of a country steeped in magnificent beauty, art, culture & faith.
Traveling the Way of St. James originated over a thousand years ago when pilgrims or peregrinos from throughout Europe set off from their homelands toward the edge of then-known world and Santiago de Compostela. They came in search of miracles, as penance, or in devotion.
Each day you set out in the cool early morning air on a well-worn path that winds its way through vineyards overflowing with grapes ready for harvest, among apple and pear orchards… across fields thickly scented with thyme. Stroll down ancient Roman roads, explore 13th century castles and enjoy elaborate fountains, frescoes, sculpture and relics sequestered in tiny Romanesque churches along the way.
For many, it’s the solitude and chance to simply unplug and shut out the distractions of an increasingly busy world. For others, it is a chance to meditate, to reaffirm their faith, to search for answers, to give thanks and find inspiration.
For some, it’s simply the opportunity to take part in a rich tradition of wandering the same path in the same spirit, where lasting friendships are forged and memories last a lifetime.
